Sacred River 09/01/21 438 views

I was debating whether I should post this picture just yet, seeing as how it was my second favourite. I wanted to save it for the later posts in order to end with a bang (with my Tibetan pictures of course), but I later decided that since I had such a long dry period, I owe it to you. I have about 20-24 all in a folder waiting to be posted, so look forward to 24 more weeks of Tibetan wonder. I think the landscapes are my best shots, but we’ll see by comments and reactions. Next week will be something different.

This is the sacred river, no body is allowed to swim in it or else they’ll contaminate the water, but I remember our guild telling us a few crazy tourists jumped in. Not wise, I’m guessing.

I’m surprised these shots actually came out, because when we originally stopped the truck, Dad and I jumped out and started shooting like crazy. I was too excited about the scenery that I never checked my camera settings and I took about 10 pictures. As we were leaving, I looked through them and they were all blown out and completely white. Freaking out, as people are piling back into the truck, I quickly corrected my settings and took the pictures again. I rushed back in the car hoping they turned out okay and to my surprise they did. Kisses Nikon

Very, very nice.

You should have Arron edit the CMS so you can queue a few pictures in advance. Then you could just give each post a publish date, and presto, you won’t have to worry about coming on here every Wednesday and marking a post as published. It’s very handy.

Ah, right, you’re one of those Nikon people, right? I’m a tad of a Canon fan boy myself; though I’ve always wondered if the grass is more vibrant through a Nikon lens.

Beautiful you do landscapes so well. It feels like I am there.

Very nice, Honey. I’ve had a peek into that folder myself and this one looks familiar, but it’s always cooler seeing them “presented” on the site.

And yes, the grass is usually greener (or a nicer shade of green) through Nikon lenses and sensors… But with RAW, everything can be tweaked :P Haha. Go Canon!

Oh, and if I ever find the time, I’ll be building the queue mechanism for sure. Into this and Offtone.

Aaron has tried so hard to get me to become a Canon girl, but I find the contrast complimenting. I like that we have rival cameras, keeps things competitive in our relationship.

As for the program to make the picture post every wednesday, that’s up to Aaron. I would absolutly LOVE that idea, because a lot of the time I have a post ready for wednesday, but I never have the time to sit down and write for 30-40 min. Maybe for a valentines day present? bats eye lashes

Oh well, we’ll see. It all depends if he has time.

Thanks for the comments :)

Yes yes, the lenses are Nikon. Canon doesn’t make ‘em.
